2010 ford f-350 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. The f-350 is ford's super duty full-sized single rear-wheel (srw) or dual rear-wheel (drw) truck. The f-350 manages to mix innovation, comfort, and style into a competitive vehicle that has impressive torque ratings, towing capacities, and payloads. The rugged and reliable xl, the well equipped xlt, the sporty cabela and the luxurious lariat. Three engine choices include a 5. 4-liter 300-hp triton v8 with 365 lb.-ft. A 362-hp triton v10 with 457 lb.-ft of torque or a 350-hp twin-turbo 6. 4 liter v8 powerstroke diesel with 650 lb.-ft. Two available transmissions include a six-speed manual transmission or a torqshift five-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode. For 2010, the ford f-350 srw replaces the fx4 trim with the new cabela trim that caters to the outdoors and a recreational lifestyle. Navigation System✔ DVD Entertainment System

2010 ford taurus review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. All-new emotive flagship is impressive. introductionthe ford taurus is all-new for 2010. The 2010 taurus is impressive, well-equipped and extremely competent, a charismatic full-size sedan that could establish ford as america's premier auto manufacturer. The 2010 ford taurus comes with a duratec v6, delivering a generous 263 horsepower and 249 pound-feet of torque.  also redesigned is the high-performance 2010 taurus sho, with a twin-turbocharged ecoboost v6 rated at a breathtaking 365 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. The sho, which stands for super high output, delivers enough power and cornering poise to leave pricier audi and lexus models coughing in the dust.  dramatically different and advanced in comparison with the mildly pleasing previous version, the 2010 taurus models offer brisk performance, precise and reassuring handling, lavish comfort, and a comprehensive occupant-safety package. The taurus and taurus sho are the flagships of ford's entire line. And since, at long last, sedans are once again outselling trucks nationally, ford has every reason to be optimistic about the taurus's role in ford's future.  we found the taurus to be a responsive, comfortable, and protective family sedan, whether in se, sel or limited trim. But this car is far more than a dull, utilitarian appliance.  ford refers to taurus's world-car styling as emotive and bold. Its looks have magnetism and a sleekly contemporary appearance designed to win owners who take seriously how they appear to the outside world. Judged on price alone, this is no luxury car. Yet its visual impact will go a long way toward making its occupants feel very good about themselves. This is a car to be seen in.  in the case of the taurus, great looks don't prevent preclude brainpower. The taurus is packed with innovative technology and electronics, beneficial driver-assistance provisions, and safety packages that outstrip import sedans costing half again more. Among these packages are comprehensive warning systems programmed to warn of obstacles front, side and rear, a boon in crowded parking lots. A brilliant adaptive cruise control system lets the driver relax on the highway, while it automatically controls the gap to the car ahead. Beyond the new technology, impressive as it is, it will still be the car's over-the-road driving character that determines its ultimate worth.  we drove both the taurus and taurus sho along a lengthy route of highways, then put in a demanding day in the twisty hill country of tennessee. Taurus sel awd 29,020) is equipped the same but includes all-wheel drive.  taurus limited 31,170) upgrades with leather-trimmed seats with 10-way power in both front seats, driver seat memory, leather-wrapped steering wheel with wood inlay, woodgrain applique, sync hands-free communications and entertainment, 6cd changer, universal garage opener, global-open window controls, chrome mirrors and taillamps, ambient interior lighting, cargo net, mirror with microphone, reverse sensing system, 19-inch chromed aluminum wheels. The sho performance package 995) includes performance brake pads, epas-calibrated steering, ecs track mode/true off, 3. 16 final drive ratio, 20-inch painted wheels with 245/45yr20 performance summer tires.  safety features include dual front airbags, front-seat side-impact airbags, and canopy airbags, collision warning with brake support, blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, tire-pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, sos post-crash alert, traction control, reverse sensing system, anchors for child seats. All-wheel drive is available. walkaroundthe new taurus is a thoroughly american design, yet it owes almost nothing to the long, ponderous line of over-styled american sedans of the past. Its styling is exciting and chic, more than a match for any foreign competitors in its price class or even for competitors that cost a good deal more. Even in its most mundane models, it has an aggressive, ready-to-go demeanor.  the signature three-bar grille on the taurus wraps around to sleek, swept-back headlamp complexes. The expression on this car's face is a wry glint that says, this car knows what it's doing.  the side panels are muscular and handsomely sculpted, while the side profile shows a distant similarity to the currently fashionable audi family. The only peculiarity is the odd bullet-head of chrome on the front fender sides just ahead of the front-door cut. Isolated where it is, it's a tic that ford styling could do without.  at the rear, the car's lines feature another pair of sleek lamp complexes, tied together with a gleaming horizontal chrome strip. In the limited and sho versions, big 19-inch wheels and tires give the taurus a resolutely competitive look.  a key element of the sho formula is the subtlety of its unique exterior design cues. The sho is distinguished from other taurus models by special wheels, decklid spoiler, twin exhaust tips, unique grille work and unique parking lamp bezels. interiorinside, the new ford taurus is roomy, comfortable, and quiet. The dashboard takes an unusual form. Its upper surface is a broad, downward-curving shape that behaves almost like a sunshade over the dash's cascade of equipment and gauges. The gauges have a fresh, modern look, and all instrument lights are fully lit at all times. This is important, because so many cars dim their instruments in daylight, enough so that in high sun, the gauges and readouts are unreadable. For this bright decision, give ford an a-plus.  the taurus paddle shifters are based on the bmw paradigm, with shifters on both sides of the wheel, a pull of the forefinger granting an upshift and a push of the thumb yielding a downshift. The six-speed transmission, present in all models, works remarkably well, especially in the sho, which is spec-ed to provide still-faster gear changes than the normal taurus. However, this writer prefers the ferrari paradigm, where the paddle on one side of the wheel summons an upshift, and downshifts are summoned at the opposite side of the wheel. This is simpler and more intuitive. This full range of technologies is offered in no other family sedan within the taurus price range.  the seats are lavishly comfortable, with one exception: in order to achieve its full five-star rating in crash protection, which it successfully did, the front seat headres. 2010 ford f-150 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Comprehensive line of superb pickups. introductionthe ford f-150 is the best-selling pickup in america. All are highly capable trucks, even those loaded with luxury features. The f-150 was completely redesigned for 2009. So for 2010, changes are limited to packaging.  smooth and quiet, the f-150 is comfortable on bumpy streets around town, over rugged terrain such as that found at construction sites, and on the open road. Its steering is nicely waited and requires little correction on the highway making it nice for long cross-country tows. Yet even the least-expensive f-150 isn't boring; it leaves room for customization, does the work required and keeps overhead down.  with one of the deepest beds in the segment, the f-150 has generous cargo volume out back and a maximum payload rating of 3,030 pounds. A properly equipped regular cab f-150 is rated to tow up to 11,300 pounds; other models max out in the 9,000-pound range. (the ford super duty range of heavy-duty pickups is covered in a separate new car test drive review.)  three v8 engines are offered. It is rated at 310 horsepower and 365 pound-feet on gasoline (epa 14/20 mpg) and 320 horsepower and 390 pound-feet on e85 with mileage dropped to 10/14 mpg. The mykey programmable vehicle key is standard on all models except the base xl trim level. Supercab trucks add higher fx4 and lariat trim levels, and a short-bed option (about 5. 5 feet) on all but xl models. The flareside bed can not be combined with xl or lariat supercabs. A long-bed supercab is available only with the heavy-duty 5. 4-liter package. The supercrew f-150, available with either the short or standard bed, drops the stx grade and adds king ranch and platinum derivatives.  the f-150 xl 21,380) is a standard bed, regular cab two-wheel drive. It comes with 17-inch steel wheels, black bumper/grille/mirrors, and vinyl upholstery and floor covering. More equipment is available, including 18-inch wheels, sirius radio, sync, cruise control, fog lamps and power mirrors.  xlt (from $25,575) adds chrome for bumpers and trim, power mirrors, remote keyless entry, automatic headlamps, carpeting, cruise control, power windows and locks, better cloth upholstery and, on longer cabs, the three-valve 4. 6-liter v8 and six-speed automatic transmission. All manner of options are available on the xlt, including three sizes of wheels, tailgate step, cargo management and towing equipment.  fx4 (from $35,090) comes with a black grille and body-colored bumpers, trim and mirrors. Options include infotainment and 17-inch (for more severe off-road use) or 20-inch wheels. Chrome trim and bumpers highlight monotone paint, and the lariat adds heated mirrors with signal repeaters and auto-dimming on the driver's and inside, dual-zone climate control, heated power leather seats with driver memory, leather wheel with redundant audio controls, tow package, sync, trip computer, and power adjustable pedals. Options include 20-inch wheels, heated/cooled front seats, sony sound and navigation, trailer brake controller, rear camera and park sensors, and moonroof.  king ranch (from $40,200) is like a lariat with a different attitude. It adds two-tone paint and kr badges, unique wheels, mesh chrome grille, chaparral leather heated and cooled power captain’s chairs with driver memory, running boards, and power folding, heated, signal outside mirrors with chrome caps. Options are essentially limited to a limited-slip differential, alternative axle ratios, 20-inch wheels, sony sound and navigation systems, moonroof, chrome tube running boards and remote start.  platinum supercrew (from $42,075) gets a unique satin chrome grille and the only one not styled as three sections, body-color bumpers and wheel lip moldings, 20-inch wheels, power-deploy/retract running boards, satin chrome tailgate trim, tuxedo-stitched leather power captain’s chairs, wood grain and brushed aluminum trim, rain-sensing wipers, power folding/heated mirrors, and unique console. It will start with the 310-hp 5. 4-liter v8 and later get a high-performance engine option, a 6. 2-liter v8 of about 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. But it is the long-travel high-performance suspension, wheels and tires that set it apart, and the assertive styling.  the f-150 option list is comprehensive and, although it has been simplified in recent years, it can still resemble the tax code to the uninitiated; there are, for example, three codes for a sliding rear window and five for trailer towing mirrors. Most options are dependent on the model and other options, and many features are standard on more expensive models. In addition, sometimes the prices of the options vary by trim level.  mechanical options include upgrades to either the three-valve 4. 6 engine or the 5. 4-liter, alternate axle ratios, limited-slip differential, larger tires and upgraded wheels, electric-shift 4wd, skid plates, towing mirrors, snow plow prep, trailer brake controller, 35-gallon long-bed fuel tank, tailgate step, heavy-duty payload package, and ford works systems like an in-dash computer. Other upgrades include captain's chairs bucket seats with center console, power sliding rear window, rear-view camera, reverse parking sensors, dual-coat or two-tone paint, moonroof, sirius radio, sound systems, remote start, and navigation.  safety features that come standard include antilock brakes, stability control (advancetrac rsc), trailer sway control, frontal airbags, front side airbags, and side curtain airbags. Safety-related options include an integrated trailer brake controller, rear-view camera, and reverse park sensors. walkaroundthe angular lines of the ford f-150 mean it's easier to clean, easier to park, and gives maximum inside volume for outside space. Some bulge to the hood and large grille openings imply power, as does the higher altitude of 4wd models; many models have big graphics to ensure everyone knows what it is. The view rearward can be aided by extendable towing mirrors, a rear camera, and a power sliding rear window. We found the towing mirrors work very well.  pillars between the doors (called b-pillars) and the rear hand-hold on the pillar may yield an awkward blind spot for some drivers, but everyone should appreciate the windshield pillars (called a-pillars) shaped to help preserve forward vision.

We found the towing mirrors work very well.  pillars between the doors (called b-pillars) and the rear hand-hold on the pillar may yield an awkward blind spot for some drivers, but everyone should appreciate the windshield pillars (called a-pillars) shaped to help preserve forward vision.

2010 ford f-250 super duty review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. The f-250 is ford's super duty full-sized single rear-wheel (srw) truck. The f-250 manages to mix innovation, comfort, and style into a competitive vehicle that has impressive torque ratings, towing capacities, and payloads. For 2010, the ford f-250 replaces the fx4 trim with the new cabela trim that caters to the outdoors and a recreational lifestyle. Navigation System✔ DVD Entertainment System
